Liz Hawes is an artist and jeweler living in Leelanau County, Michigan near Traverse City. Her business, Turtleback Studios was named in honor of the prized Petoskey stone that is found in Northern Michigan. Liz's jewelry most often includes natural elements such as beach stone, Petoskey stone, or exotic stone and freshwater pearl.
